Sheldon Low Live Tour

Sheldon Low is the newest face in Jewish music performing rock concerts, Shabbat Services, and leading artist-in-residency weekends in Jewish  communities throughout the United States. Sheldon has an undeniable appeal to youth and family audiences, not only as a musician,  singer/songwriter, and entertainer, but most importantly, as a Jewish  educator and role model.

"I feel really fortunate to be traveling around the country for the past few years where I've met some really incredible people who have inspired me to dedicate my life as a Jewish educator and Jewish musician," said Low.  "Hearing the excitement and voices from the audiences, whether they're younger or older, is exhilarating.  Jewish music is truly amazing and like nothing else I've experienced." 

Over the last three summers, Sheldon was a huge hit with teens performing a national summer tour at dozens of Jewish summer camps throughout the country and frequently appearing on stage with Jewish rock musician, Rick Recht.   Sheldon has also recently been featured as a head songleader and headliner at various youth conventions including the 2006  BBYO International Convention.  Low is known for regularly featuring local musicians, choirs, and  soloists on stage with the band during his concerts, artist-in-residencies, and religious services.

Sheldon's debut album, On one Foot (June '06), on Independent label, Jewish Rock Records,  includes a host of special guest vocalists and musicians including Rick Recht, Beth Schaeffer, and a choir of  BBYO and NFTY teens and has already become a major hit for teens across the US.   Sheldon's sophomore album 'It's All Challah to Me' (Oct '07) once again captures Sheldon's ability to create infectiously fun pop songs, this time for a kid audience.  


Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Low is a third generation songleader who, from an early age, developed a strong Jewish identity attending Solomon Schechter Day School, Camp Ben Frankel, and his synagogue, Brith Sholom Kneseth Israel.  Over the years, Sheldon developed a large repertoire and love for Jewish music attending Camp Ben Frankel in Carbondale, IL or as Sheldon calls it, "The Singingest camp in the country." In high school, Sheldon was also fortunate to meet and be mentored by Rick Recht who continues to deepen Sheldon's passion for Jewish music and education.  After high school, Sheldon earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University in Medford, MA.  After several months working in industry, Sheldon was signed to Jewish Rock Records and is currently the Artist in Residence at Barnert Temple in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
